Help / FAQ

Quick answers about how BalanceWhiz fits into your routine. For anything else, use Contact Us.

What is BalanceWhiz?

BalanceWhiz is a cash flow forecast for your checking account. Add your current balance and what you know is coming in and going out, and BalanceWhiz shows you where your balance is headed day by day — so you can see when you have room to spend, save, or move money and when you don’t.

Do I connect my bank?

No. BalanceWhiz doesn’t connect to your bank or financial accounts. You enter your checking balance and the income, bills, transfers, and other transactions you want included in your forecast. Periodically update your actual balance to keep your forecast accurate.

Do I need to enter every transaction?

No. BalanceWhiz isn’t designed to make you track every purchase. Add the income, bills, transfers, and other transactions that matter to your forecast, then periodically update your actual checking balance to keep things on track.

If you fall behind, there’s no need to recreate every missed transaction. Just update your current checking balance and keep forecasting forward.

How often should I update BalanceWhiz?

There’s no required schedule. Update BalanceWhiz when something changes or when you want a fresh look at your cash flow. Periodically update your actual checking balance, and BalanceWhiz will use that as the new starting point for your forecast.

What if a bill changes from month to month?

Mark it as Amount Varies and enter your best estimate. BalanceWhiz will remind you to update the amount when it’s time. This works well for things like credit card payments, utilities, and other bills that change from month to month. Forecasting recurring and irregular expenses explains how those bills fit with fixed, annual, and one-time costs.

Can I use BalanceWhiz with multiple checking accounts?

BalanceWhiz is designed around one primary checking account — the account where your income comes in and your everyday bills and spending go out.

If you move money to savings or other accounts, add those transfers to your forecast so you can see how they’ll affect your checking balance.

What happens if my balance is getting too low?

Set a minimum balance you’d like to maintain. BalanceWhiz flags future days when your forecast drops below it, so you can spot a potential cash crunch before it happens.

How do I reset my password?

How does the free trial and billing work?

BalanceWhiz includes a 14-day free trial. You can choose a monthly or annual plan during your trial, and you won’t be charged until the trial ends. If you don’t subscribe, your forecast remains available to view after your trial ends, but you’ll need a plan to make updates.

You can manage or cancel your subscription from Settings → Billing when logged in.
